  9. These 4 banks are RAW SysEx data. You will need to use some type of a SysEx
  10. program on your computer to load them into your MKS-50/Juno1/Juno2.

  13. JUNO 1/2 Loading Procedure
  14. ----------------------------------------------------
  15. 1) The Alpha Juno-1/2 should be set to MIDI Channel 1
  16.  
  17. 2) Set SysEx ON (I don't remember if this is an option? I have an MKS-50)
  18.  
  19. 3) The BULK DUMP data transfer methods used are slightly different from the
  20.    instructions listed on page 40 of the Alpha Juno-1/2 Owner's Manual.
  21.    You must press the WRITE key at the same time as the DATA TRANSFER and
  22.    BULK DUMP/SAVE keys are pressed. This key sequence is an undocumented
  23.    feature and sends MIDI information out of the MIDI port in one continuous
  24.    stream instead of waiting for a response from another MIDI device connected
  25.    to the Alpha Juno-1/2. The method of BULK SAVE data transfer used in this
  26.    manner should read in the Alpha Juno-1/2 display window as;
  27.    Bulk Load MIDI.o                       <==== Correct
  28.    as opposed to the normal display of;
  29.    Bulk Load MIDI..                       <==== Incorrect
  30.  
  31.   * The easiest way I have found to use these three keys at the same time
  32.   * is to first press the DATA TRANSFER key and then, while still pressing
  33.   * DATA TRANSFER, press the WRITE key and while still pressing these two
  34.   * keys, press the BULK DUMP key.
  35.  
  36. 4) The BULK LOAD transfer mode will replace all internal tones of the Alpha
  37.    Juno-1 so when you want to load new tones, Make Sure You Have A Back-up
  38.    Of Your Internal Tones Before You Continue!
  39.  
  40. 5) Load the RAW data file into your SysEx program on your computer
  41.  
  42. 6) Press TRANSMIT/SEND on your computer SysEx program and the data will load
  43.    64 new tones into the synth.

  46. MKS-50 Loading Procedure
  47. ----------------------------------------------------------
  48. 1) Set the MKS-50 into the following mode:
  49.                   ----
  50. MIDI CHANNEL =  1     |
  51. MIDI OMNI    = ON     |
  52. MIDI PROG.CG = ON     |
  53. PCH ASG MODE = ON     |------> Accessed Via The TUNE/MIDI Button on MKS-50
  54. TX C.M. APR  = ON     |
  55. TX PATCH APR = ON     |
  56. TX TONE APR  = ON     |
  57. MEM. PROTECT = OFF    |
  58.                   ----
  59. MIDI EXCL    = ON      ------> Accessed Via The PARAM Button in Patch Mode

  61. 2) Press the DATA TRANSFER button on the MKS-50
  62.  
  63. 3) Press the PARAM button until  Bulk*Load [T-a]  appears in the LCD window
  64.    (NOTE: This is different from Bulk Load [T-a] without the asterisk!!!!!)

  66. 4) Press the WRITE button on the MKS-50 and  Bulk*Load -Run-  should appear
  67.    in the LCD window
  68.  
  69. 5) Load the RAW data file into your SysEx program on your computer
  70.  
  71. 6) Press TRANSMIT/SEND on your computer SysEx program and the data will load
  72.    into Tone Bank A of the MKS-50. To load data into bank B, make sure the LCD
  73.    window reads  Bulk*Load [T-b]
